Advice Power Academy objective is to contribute to the industrial and academic communities by gathering and disseminating information related to Power Electronics design and development.

Our goal is to expand knowledge, share news and innovations and offer a platform for discussions and brainstorming among senior and junior workers in the field, experts and students and whoever has an interest and passion for power electronics.  It is thus a platform where one may find information regarding new technologies and innovations, comparison between technologies, express his opinion, share his knowledge, and much more.

Prof. Sam Ben-Yaakov - Moderator 

Shmuel (Sam) Ben-Yaakov received the BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Haifa Israel, in 1961 and the MS and PhD degrees in Engineering from UCLA, in 1967 and 1970 respectively. He is a Professor Emeritus of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel (http://www.ee.bgu.ac.il/~pel/). For several years Prof. Ben-Yaakov served as the Chairman of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Ben-Gurion University and was the initiator, and for about 30 years, the head of the Power Electronics Laboratory of BGU. He published more than 350 papers and was granted more than 30 patents. He started and now cultivates the YouTube's "Sam Ben-Yaakov" channel in which he is posting engineering educational videos:

Prof. Ben-Yaakov's has a vast theoretical and practical knowledge and experience in analog and power electronics, as well as an entrepreneurial experience as a founder of commercial companies. His current research interests include power electronics, circuits and systems, electronic instrumentation and engineering education. He serves as a consultant to commercial companies worldwide in the areas of analog and power electronics.
